Managed to get to Germany. Love the “Flugplatz Bitburg”…

- Inge’s Adventure  – “Inge’s Abenteuer” is definitely my favorite iPhone App when it comes to games.
Love the graphics and the sound, the landmarks; can’t wait for the new update so I can travel to Germany…
“Vielen Dank fuer mein personalisiertes Spiel!”
– Bouncing Zombie – “Zombie Hüpfer” is another game I enjoy playing.
- Draw Something and Words with Friends are great when playing with friends…

… the little devil face you put on when you got upset…
… how you would share and wait your turn to get your “greenies”…

They say that cats have 9 lives but finally you lost all your strength.

We will never forget

Ein sonniger Tag, ich sitze in meinem Buero in Washington, D.C. (wo ich viele Jahre als Computer Programmierer/Analyst arbeitete), als Amerika ploetzlich unter Angriff steht: Schock… Entsetzen… Evakuation… Stau auf allen Strassen… vorbei am brennenden Pentagon… Kampfflugzeuge ueber uns… hinter uns… nah… Flammen… dunkler Qualm… Panik… Chaos… Entsetzen… Panik… Schmerz… Chaos… Schweigen… Horror… Schweigen… Schock… it seems like yesterday… So many innocent lives lost! We will never forget!

Overnight, another aftershock of 4.5 magnitude…

Woke up shortly after 1 a.m. this morning – the entire bed was shaking.
Apparently, we had another aftershock (4.5 magnitude). Everything OK…

OMG – Just had a 5.8 earthquake!

How scary this was! The entire house was shaking back and fourth.
It came suddenly and was over fast. Never experienced an earthquake before…
Reports of some minor injuries and some damage coming in now… Several aftershocks (unnoticed here)…
Thankfully, so far everyone seems to be OK and safe…

Gleich hinter dem Grundstueck in Bitburg Messenweg 21 – auf welchem mein Elternhaus stand, bis es von der Arend GmBH abgerissen wurde (Info hier) – stehen seit vielen Jahren die drei Hochhaeuser in der Eifelstrasse, die als Eigentum der Stiftung Buergerhospital Bitburg bisher eine wichtige Einnahmequelle fuer die baufreudige Stadt Bitburg waren…
Im MAECENATA Institut Berlin heisst es unter Stiftungszweck der Stiftung Buergerhospital Bitburg (Errichtungsjahr 1300): „Unterstuetzung aelterer und sozialschwacher Menschen, insbesondere durch Errichtung und Unterhaltung von beguenstigtem Wohnraum“…
Wie steht es eigentlich um die „Stiftung Buergerhospital Bitburg“ von Heinrich von der Pforte?

Ein weiteres Projekt von Interesse ist die seit vielen Jahren geplante Nord-Ost-Tangente in meiner alten Heimatstadt Bitburg in der Eifel. Bitburg – eine Stadt der unbegrenzten Moeglichkeiten! Oder?

Wird die Nord-Ost-Tangente demnaechst den Verkehr in der Bitburger Innenstadt entlasten?
